As part of the Environmental Research Center's cultural season activities, Lecturer Dr. Imad El-Din Hatem Abdel gave a lecture entitled (Health Effects of Microbial Environment in Hospitals: Challenges and Solutions) The lecture dealt with hospital-acquired infections, or what are called healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), which are infections that patients acquire while receiving healthcare and were not present or in the incubation period upon admission to the hospital. These infections are one of the most prominent challenges facing healthcare systems globally, due to their negative impact on patient health and increased mortality rates.
