A symposium on the role of community institutions in reducing the phenomenon of violence against women

The Environmental Research Center at the University of Technology, as part of the center’s women’s empowerment activities, held a symposium entitled “The Role of Community Institutions in Reducing the Phenomenon of Violence Against Women”

She gave the lecture at the University of Baghdad, College of Veterinary Medicine, in which she explained what violence is, as it is used all over the world as a tool to influence others. It is also considered one of the matters of interest to law and culture, as they both seek to suppress the phenomenon of violence and prevent its spread. She touched on the history of violence and domestic violence and that it takes many forms and manifestations. Violence against women and its forms is considered a dangerous scourge that threatens the entity of the family and society and has serious repercussions on the health and safety of moral and cultural societies and the building of generations and causes economic, moral, health and sometimes human losses if it is carried out too far. Therefore, institutions should Governmental and non-governmental communities contribute to limiting the spread of this phenomenon by all legal and cultural means.
The symposium concluded with the director of the center, Professor Dr. Zainab Bahaa Muhammad, awarding a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer in appreciation of her efforts.
