     The Microbiology and Ecotoxicology Laboratory undertake the isolation, incubation and culturing of different microorganisms of soil, air, water, sediment, food, medicine, plant, animal and body fluids of sick and healthy people using standardized methods approved by:

1- The World Health Organization (WHO).

2- The Food and Drug Administration (FDA or US FDA).

3- The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA or US EPA).

 As well as the possibility of the laboratory to carry out some tests related to microorganisms.

     TCIC lab play essential rule in environmental research, by providing several biosystems can affected by contamination or by investigation the contaminate effects on these organism in natural environment, by carrying out direct and indirect toxicity, genotoxicity, immunotoxicity in vivo and in vitro for drugs, foods, water, air, soil and plant extracts, on human peripheral blood lymphocytes, human and mice bone marrow, macrophage and microphage suspension cells, as well as effects of environmental factors on bacterial, fungal, and algal cells suspension by measuring biomass, viability, activity and cell dimensions, in addition to calculate LD50 ,LC50  for different compounds.   

Practically chromosomal aberrations techniques ( solid and banding) beside to human karyotyping are carrying out by depended methods in the study of genotoxic effects. In addition to dependent standard methods from WHO, APHA and methods which were published in pre review journals like Journal of Analytical Toxicology and Mutation Research.
